Take full creative control over your article images. Instead of relying solely on automatic generation, you can now describe exactly what you want to see in your thumbnail—and Keytail will combine your vision with your project's context and professional style settings.

When regenerating a thumbnail in the editor, select "Custom" from the regenerate menu. A dialog opens where you describe your ideal image in plain language. For example: "A woman working on her laptop in a bright coffee shop, smiling while video chatting with colleagues."

You can also optionally select a framing style from four visual presets—ranging from wide environmental shots to tight, focused portraits. Each option includes an example preview so you can see exactly how your image will be composed. If you skip this step, Keytail's AI will automatically select the best framing for your scene.

Your custom description is intelligently merged with your imagery settings and brand context, ensuring every generated image stays consistent with your visual identity while matching your creative direction.

Cleaner URLs & New Layout

We've completely refreshed the project experience with a new layout that puts your content front and center. The sidebar now collapses with a single click, giving you more space to focus on what matters. Expand it again anytime to access your recent posts and navigation.

Your project URLs are now shorter and easier to share. Instead of long UUIDs like `/project/550e8400-e29b-41d4-a716-446655440000`, you'll see clean short IDs like `/project/abc123`. Existing links continue to work seamlessly.

  • Redesigned cluster cards with improved visual hierarchy, difficulty badges, and search volume metrics at a glance.
  • Added smooth skeleton loading states across all project pages for a better experience while content loads.
  • New two-column layout with rounded corners and better spacing throughout the app.
  • Introduced semantic color variables for improved dark mode support.
  • Users can now manage product update email preferences directly in account settings.

Requests move through three stages: Requested (open for voting), Planned (we're building it), and Shipped (it's live). When a feature ships, we'll link it to a changelog entry so you can see exactly what was built.

Improved Queue Settings

Improved Queue Settings

We've redesigned the Queue Settings to make scheduling your content publishing easier and more intuitive. The new interface gives you better control over when and how often your articles are published.

The frequency selection now uses a visual day picker instead of a dropdown, making it easier to see and select which days of the week you want to publish. You can quickly select individual days or use "Select all" to choose every day of the week. The interface shows you exactly how many days per week you've selected, so you always know your publishing frequency at a glance.

We've also added a "Next publish" preview that shows you exactly when your next article will be published based on your current settings. This helps you plan ahead and ensures your schedule is set up exactly how you want it.
The settings are now organized more clearly, with the auto-publishing toggle at the top so you can quickly enable or disable automatic publishing. When disabled, all scheduling options are visually dimmed to make it clear they're inactive.

Other improvements

• You can now see your publishing frequency at a glance with the day count display (e.g., "3 days per week").

• The "Select all" and "Clear all" buttons make it faster to configure your publishing schedule.• Settings now automatically update the queue list when saved, so you see your changes reflected immediately.

• Improved timezone handling ensures your schedule works correctly regardless of your location.

WordPress CMS

WordPress CMS

You can now publish your content directly to WordPress! Connect your WordPress site using the REST API and publish your articles with a single click.

WordPress is one of the most popular content management systems, and now it's fully integrated with Keytail. Whether you're running a self-hosted WordPress site or using WordPress.com, you can seamlessly publish your generated articles without leaving Keytail.

How it works

1. Connect your WordPress site: Navigate to your project settings and go to the Integrations tab. Enter your WordPress site URL, username, and application password.

2. Configure your settings: Choose your post type (posts, pages, or custom post types), set the default post status, and map your content fields to match your WordPress structure.

3. Publish with one click: Once connected, you can publish any generated article directly to your WordPress site. All your content, including images and formatting, will be published exactly as created in Keytail.

4. Use with the Publishing Queue: WordPress works seamlessly with the Publishing Queue, so you can schedule your content to be published automatically at your preferred times.

No plugins required on your WordPress installation—everything works through the WordPress REST API. Perfect for content creators who want to maintain their WordPress workflow while leveraging Keytail's AI-powered content generation.

We're excited to introduce the Publishing Queue, a powerful new feature that lets you schedule and automate your content publishing workflow. No more manual publishing - queue up your articles and let Keytail publish them automatically at the times you specify.

The Publishing Queue works like a content calendar for your CMS. Add articles to your queue, set your publishing schedule, and Keytail will automatically publish them to your connected CMS (Webflow, Sanity, or WordPress) at the right time. Perfect for maintaining a consistent publishing cadence and planning your content strategy in advance.


How it works

1. Add articles to your queue: Select any generated articles from your project and add them to the publishing queue with a single click.

2. Configure your schedule: Set your publishing frequency (daily, weekly, or custom), choose your preferred publish time, and select your timezone. The queue automatically calculates when each article will be published based on its position.

3. Reorder as needed: Drag and drop articles in your queue to change their publishing order. The schedule automatically recalculates to reflect your changes.

4. Automatic publishing: Once configured, Keytail's automated system publishes your articles at the scheduled times. You can pause or resume your queue at any time.

5. Track progress: Monitor the status of each article in real-time—see what's scheduled, currently publishing, successfully published, or if any issues occurred.

The Publishing Queue integrates seamlessly with all your existing CMS connections and respects your workspace timezone settings. It's the perfect tool for content creators who want to maintain a consistent publishing schedule without the manual work.
